The Derived Analysis Services allow to access the same (remote) analysis tools as the normal Analysis Services but with strongly-typed methods for sending input data and receiving data results. A site (a service provider) can provide many of such services. They can coexist with the non-derived analysis services because their service names differ from the normal ones by a suffix ::derived.

As the normal Analysis Web Services, the derived services are also in two main groups depending on the resource that they access:

Although they are grouped both groups use the same basic interface and both can be accessed using the same clients. The grouping is more or less historical (and it is slightly more important for service providers than for clients because for Gowlab-based services the providers more probably need to write resource-specific HTML screen scrapers).

The Soaplab allows to create all classes for Derived Web services automatically (try run/run-admin-client -help).

The WSDL files representing derived services can be found in this directory.

Note that the classes listed here had been generated at one specific site. Other sites have different sets of Analysis Web Services, and therefore also a different set of generated derived services.
